According to Bohai Drilling, in the BZ19-6-M4 well of the Bohai 19-6 Condensate Gas Field, China National Petroleum Corporation Bohai Drilling Company achieved a remarkable feat by employing advanced precision-controlled pressure drilling technology. This pressure controlled drilling technology facilitated the smooth completion of the well, setting a new record for the deepest well in the CNOOC Bohai Oilfield.
On December 20th, Rongsheng Corporation received a letter of appreciation from Bohai Drilling's Tubular Goods and Well Control Technology Service Branch. The letter commended Rongsheng's meticulous approach to the manufacturing and testing of five sets of precision-controlled pressure drilling choke manifold assemblies in their collaborative effort. The letter expressed gratitude for Rongsheng's rigorous attitude towards new products and technologies, as well as the team's meticulous work ethic. Both parties anticipate facing more challenges together and achieving greater success in future collaborations.
MPD (managed pressure drilling) technology stands as one of the world's top ten drilling technologies, providing an effective solution for drilling in "narrow density windows." To ensure the success of this collaborative project, Rongsheng specifically formed a precision-controlled pressure project team. The team actively mobilized key production positions, carried out the processing and inspection of components in an orderly and rigorous manner, coordinated the company's high-voltage power supply plan, and worked tirelessly through multiple tests into the early hours of the morning, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and technical proficiency.
Throughout the collaboration, Rongsheng conducted various tests according to Bohai Drilling's technical specifications and production requirements. These included hydrostatic pressure strength tests, sealing tests, manual pressure adjustment tests, automatic pressure tracking tests, automatic channel switching tests, and pressure curve testing. All technical indicators met the testing requirements. Compared to conventional liquid control systems, this system offers advantages such as high intelligence, reliable performance, high sensitivity, compact size, and low maintenance costs. The manifold system has been certified by CCS suspension points, and the control room has obtained DNV2.7-1 certification, making it more suitable for high-end markets such as onshore critical wells and offshore drilling. Up to now, the jointly developed precision-controlled pressure drilling choke manifold assemblies have been successfully applied in multiple drilling platforms in domestic oceans and onshore locations, earning unanimous recognition for their outstanding performance.
