Rongsheng Youth League Committee Launches Volunteer Service Activity

March -- the month of Lei Feng. On the morning of March 2nd, as the 61st Lei Feng Commemoration Day approached, the Youth League Committee of Rongsheng Machinery Manufacture Ltd. of Huabei oilfield, Hebei, organized more than 20 young volunteers to participate in the "Love Blooms in Baoshihua, Youth Volunteer Journey" Lei Feng volunteer service activity at Caiyi Square. Leading the majority of young members to implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on carrying out Lei Feng activities in depth with practical actions, guiding young members to practice the spirit of volunteers, and establishing correct outlooks on life and values.

"The spirit of Lei Feng is a good example to follow, being loyal to the revolution, loyal to the party..." The activity began with the volunteers' loud singing. This year, based on the needs of the residents in the mining area, the Rongsheng Company Youth League Committee has opened a total of five projects, including "DIY Keychain," "Photo Sealing," "Arc Welding Repair," "Small Appliance Maintenance," and "Balloon Crafting." The young volunteers, wearing red vests and smiles, enthusiastically provided services to the residents of the mining area. These practical services not only provide convenience to the residents but also deepen the understanding of the young people of the "Lei Feng spirit" in the new era.

Among the projects of this community service, "DIY Keychain" is specifically tailored to address the memory decline of elderly residents in the community, who often lose their keys or forget their children's phone numbers. The young volunteers swiftly crafted exquisite keychains based on the phone numbers provided by the elderly, distributing over 300 keychains within two and a half hours.

"Photo Sealing" is also an innovative project this year, echoing the "Repairing Old Photos" activity organized by neighboring units. The repaired old photos are directly sealed, helping the residents of the mining area better preserve their beautiful memories.

Traditional projects such as "Arc Welding Repair," "Small Appliance Maintenance," and "Balloon Crafting" are still popular among the residents. Early in the morning, everyone pushed their bicycles and brought faulty items, such as electric kettles, to the service booths for repair. During the activity, a total of 6 items, such as chairs and baskets, were welded and repaired, and four items, such as electric kettles and soy milk machines, were fixed, with over 300 balloons given away.

Through this activity, the young employees participating in volunteer service gained satisfaction and pride from serving the people and helping others. They expressed that as volunteers, they should actively implement the important instructions of the General Secretary on carrying out Lei Feng activities in depth, further grasp the era connotation of the Lei Feng spirit, become inheritors, practitioners, and promoters of the Lei Feng spirit, and integrate the spirit of Lei Feng into daily life, making it a common practice.
